Officials: 2 killed, 3 injured in house fire

November 21, 2017
Associated Press

CORINTH, N.Y. (AP) — Fire officials in upstate New York are investigating a house fire that killed two people and injured three others.

Crews responded to a house fire in Corinth around 10:45 a.m. Monday. Authorities say firefighters couldn't enter the home at first because of intense smoke and heat.

According to Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo, two female victims died in the blaze. Zurlo says three others who were in the house have been hospitalized.

The home was badly damaged by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
