Agathe "Aggie" Motrynczuk, of Mayville, died Jan. 18, 2016, at her home.

She was born in Augsburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Jakob and Berta Witausheck Gsantner.

Aggie formerly had worked at Standard Portable, Mayville Diner, Webb's Candies all of Mayville and also at Westfield Health Care Center.

She was a member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mayville.

Aggie loved her cats, and enjoyed cooking her German foods. She also loved spending time with all of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Motrynczuk whom she married April 1, 1945 in Germany; five children, Renate (David Dailey) Hildum, Peter (Toni) Motrynczuk, Roswita (Thomas) McMaster, Paul Motrynczuk, and Linda (Don) Dougan; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; two sisters, Maria Badzinski and Josefine Lawson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jakob; and three sisters, Fanni, Senta, and Berta.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mayville. Rev. Todd Remick officiated. Burial is in the Mayville Cemetery.

The family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville.

A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Friday with Rev. Todd Remick at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hartfield Fire Company, Chautauqua County Humane Society, or St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mayville.
