Westfield Republican

Jamestown C.C.

The following students, named to the dean's list for the fall 2015 semester at the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses of Jamestown Community College, earned at least a 3.50 average during the semester while enrolled in at least 12 degree credits.

Dewittville: Allison Bartok, Laiken Biekert, Adam Cummings, Cheyann Doud.

Mayville: Ashton Albanesius, April Auge, Brent Buxton, Ian Clute, Ashley Crandall, Dustin Graziano, Pamela Herdeman, Robert Hoitink, James Latimer, Joseph Marsala, Mathew Miele, Jenavin Wappat.

Portland: Tara Boltz, Kenya Stanton.

Ripley: Nicholas Hlifka, Melanie McCutcheon.

Sherman: Jeremy Cole, Elijah Hall, Alexis Oehlbeck, Kelly Thornton.

Westfield: Christopher Brooker, Erin Carutis, Sydney Fafinski, Nathan Hanes, Arielle Karlstrom, Marissa Okerlund, Jamie Pacanowski, Laurie Pembridge, Dylan Robinson, Brenna Wright.

Nazareth College

Nazareth College listed two Westfield natives on its dean's list for the Fall of 2015 semester.

Lexie Momberger is studying health sciences leading to a doctorate in physical therapy, while Daniel Tofil of Westfield is studying biology.

Alfred State

ALFRED - Dr. Kristin Poppo, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Alfred State, has announced the dean's list of students for the fall 2015 semester.

Students from both the Alfred campus and the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville are selected for the list if they maintain a 3.50 grade-point average (GPA) out of a possible 4.0.

The following local students achieved Dean's List honors:

Todd Graves, Brocton, Heavy Equipment Operations; RichardHoglund, Mayville, Construction Management, Chelsea Babcock, Ripley, Culinary Arts; and Eleanor Oliver, Brocton, Interior Design.

Kent State

Emily Crandall, a senior at Kent State University, was named to the Fall 2015 Dean's List.

Crandall is among nearly 8,300 undergraduate students who have earned and received this recent academic recognition. To qualify for this honor, undergraduate students must obtain a 3.400 GPA or higher while maintaining 12 or more credit hours in a semester.

Part time undergraduate students must obtain a 3.400 or higher GPA while maintaining 12 or more credit hours over the course of the fall, spring, and summer sessions.
