CLYMER - A blaze ravaged a Clymer home Jan. 26 as fire crews fought the smoke and flames for over an hour.

Firefighters responded to the residence at 1584 Tenhaken Road after the call of a structure fire was made just before 2 p.m. As crews arrived on scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames, according to Ed Faulkner, Clymer fire chief. The home was deemed a total loss.

"There were two occupants inside, but they both escaped in time," Faulkner said. "Upon arrival, there was heavy smoke and flames coming out of the roof."
