LOGIC recognizes gas well production leader at banquet

February 4, 2016
Westfield Republican

Following the mealtime blessing by Mrs. Maureen Davis of Ripley, Land Owners with Gas Interests and Concerns (LOGIC) members and guests savored entrees of beef, chicken, and fish during their annual banquet at the Green Arch restaurant in Brocton. Following dinner, the group listened to Mayville based Empire Energy field manager Tim Hull's comments concerning the status of the natural gas industry in Western New York. He stated that while current production in New York seems "horse and buggy" in nature compared to the vast quantities of gas released in other states due to horizontal "fracking," the older wells of this area provide a buffer to this "rush" of gas to damper the surge of its delivery to pipelines. Hull then continued his message with tips to those attending on how best the landowners might care for their wells to ensure a constant flow of their free gas allotment.

After Hull remarks, LOGIC President Tom Hebeisen presented Hull with a certificate of appreciation recognizing Hull's many years of successful service to the natural gas clean energy sector of the Western New York economy. The certificate reflected the group's positive feelings towards Hull's leadership in handling issues associated with well maintenance from meter monitoring to trail access. Those in attendance also commended Hull for "giving back" to the community through his participation on the Chautauqua Lake school board, and now in his acceptance of an appointment to the job of Chautauqua Town Justice.

For more information on LOGIC you may contact President Hebeisen at 716-680-2211.
