BROCTON - Both parties held caucuses recently at Village Hall in order to seek candidates for positions of trustees and mayor for 2016 in the village of Brocton. With just over 70 days to go in his term, Mayor Dave Hazelton is looking forward for a Republican or Democrat to step forward to run for the rolls.

He also reported at the recent board meeting that mostly "positive" feedbacks have been received by customers who used the new billing format for the first time. The mayor also noted that the village's general code is in the final stages of codification by attorney Peter Clark.

In other matters, the board members approved several resolutions as part of their new business section of their meeting. The mayor also noted that there had been some discussion with Village Justice Jim Craig on the potential of combining the court into one court system jointly with the town, however at this time "no action has been taken," stated the mayor.

The board will reconvene on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
