June Wright

June A. Wright, 79, of 10447 Main St., Findley Lake, NY, passed away on February 11, 2016, at home with her daughters.

She was born June 12,1936, the eldest (by 20 minutes!) identical twin daughter of the late Grant and Lois Coverdale Ward. She was an area resident, all her life, and a 1954 graduate of Clymer Central School. Her jobs included: Timekeeper at Corry Jamestown, The Findley Lake Drycleaners, Peek'n Peak Recreation, Elections Inspector & Findley Lake Town Historian.

Until her illness she was active in the "tea ladies group" & the Findley Lake UMC. Her hobbies included: crafting, especially card making, rubber stamping, knitting & crocheting, and she greatly loved baking pies.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George A. Wright, who passed away on Nov. 4, 2006; her twin sister, Jean A. Perdue; and her eldest brother, Donald G. Ward.

June is survived by her daughters, Pamela J. Wright-Sim and Wendy L. Wright, both of Findley Lake; a sister, Lois E. Toombs, of Silver City, NM; a sister, Carol M.Ward, of Erie, Pa.; a brother, C. Roger Ward, of Riverside, Calif.; her special "daughter" niece, Connie L. Griffith, of New Middletown, Ohio; as well as several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends were received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Spitzer Funeral Home,135 Miller St., Sherman, NY., Wednesday, February 17, 2016 with a service held at 7 p.m. following visitation.

A private, immediate family only memorial service, will be held on an as-yet-to-be-determined date, in June 2016.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Findley Lake Community Center, PO Box 38, Findley Lake, NY 14736, of Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
