Writer got health care reform facts wrong

Dear Editor,

Dr. Terry Clark's recent letter was false in many regards. I am a Cleveland Clinic employee and they do accept insurances covered by the Affordable Care Act (which he refers to by the negative name of Obamacare). Dr. Clark is a radiologist and he is not able to see patients. Critical Access or coop groups are still in practice. But, the reimbursement to physicians is not increasing at the pace of 13 percent per year as it was in the past when most folks could not afford healthcare.

It is a shame someone who has the honor of signing "MD" after his name would perpetuate such untruth and then you publish it without fact checking. Insurance companies can no longer discriminate against persons who have illness and physicians are not being paid as much but they remain in the top 5 percent of all earners.
