Matthew R. TeCulver, 25, of 7730 Church St. North Clymer, New York passed away Sunday Feb. 14, 2016 at UPMC Hamot Erie, Pa. due to injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident.

He was born Jan. 15, 1991, in Jamestown, New York the son of Wayne and Capri Schurman TeCulver.

Matthew was a graduate of Clymer Central School Class of 2009, where he was a member of the bowling team and had attended Boces Hughes Center, for the Conservation Program. He was currently employed at Maplevale Farms in Falconer, New York, and had worked at Ridgeline Farms, in Clymer, New York. He was a member of the Clymer Volunteer Fire Department for 7 years, and was a member of the North Clymer United Methodist Church. Matthew enjoyed snowmobiling, he was also a member of the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club, was a member of the Lake Erie Law and Garden Tractor Pulling Association, he enjoyed go-kart racing at Hill Top raceway, racing car # 109, in Clymer and at Pittsfield Championship Karting Assoc., Pittsfield, Pa. and helping Denny Furlow at various tracks around the area. He also enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, and hunting, and being an uncle. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Capri Schurman TeCulver, of North Clymer, his brother Michael (Pandora) TeCulver, Clymer, New York. Paternal grandparents Henry and Audrey TeCulver.

Niece and Nephew, Matthew Douglas and Emery TeCulver. And also by many aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Raymond Schurman, July 26, 1999 and Audrey Akam Schurman, June 2, 2006. 1 uncle Quentin Schurman, March 12, 2014 Great grandmother, Viola Lindstrom Smith, January 3, 2016, and a cousin Jonathan S. Jengo, November 19, 1999.

Family and friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m, Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at the Spitzer Funeral Home, 8728 E. Main St. Clymer, New York and for one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 20, 2016, at the North Clymer United Methodist Church, with Pastor David Wickins, and Pastor Dena Stevens, and Pastor Dan Prewitt, officiating. Burial was in Clymer Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clymer, Sherman, Findley Lake and Panama Volunteer Fire Departments, or a charity of one's choice.
