BROCTON - The Brad Anderson Recognition Com-mittee has announced a fundraising venture that will allow local residents, and even their pets, to become a permanent part of the Brad Anderson and Mar-maduke memorial statue.

As a final fundraising piece, the committee is currently selling memorial bricks allowing individuals, families, businesses and organizations to have a personally engraved part of the lasting tribute which will be unveiled in July during a celebration of Anderson's life. The engraved memorial bricks will line the walkway surrounding the statue and have a lifetime guarantee issued from the vendor, Polar Engraving.

Bricks will be sold in three sizes and at three different donation levels. For a donation of $50, donors can chose a 4x8 size brick with 20 spaces and three lines of engraving; for a donation of $100, donors will be given an 8x8 brick with 20 spaces and six lines of engraving; and for $150, donors will have a 12 x 12 brick with 20 spaces and eight lines of engraving available.

The bricks can be ordered directly from the Polar Engraving website, where they can chose the option of having custom clip art, logos or the addition of your own submitted artwork added to the brick. The option of the Brad Anderson Recognition Committee logo will also be included as an option, which is a sketch of Marmaduke's head. Orders can be placed directly at For an additional $7 on the site, donors can order a keepsake plaque replica of their brick to display at home or in a business.

Bricks will be available at any time, however in order to have a brick ready for the statue unveiling in July, a final order date has been established for May 20. Details of the unveiling ceremony will be forthcoming as the date nears.
