Davis seeks Ripley school board seat

May 5, 2016
Westfield Republican

RIPLEY - Nathan Davis is seeking a three-year term on the Ripley Central School board of education.

"I grew up here and enjoyed my time in Ripley Central," Davis said in a press release. "I am raising two children who attend RCS too.

"My children are young and just starting out at Ripley in the Early Explorers and pre-K programs of which we are pleased. As a candidate, I have educational concerns for the future of our children and the community's educational opportunities.

"We need to help our students meet or exceed the state standards in math and ELA because of the history of low state test scores. I am hoping that I can make a positive change. I am open to all options for the good of our students and community.

"Ripley Central School is fully capable of providing all of our students with the opportunities that other local school districts provide for their students. Our town deserves more than what we are receiving. I want people to stop leaving and start coming back.

"We have the ability to change the future of our students and community and it starts with change."
