Chautauqua County composer Lewis A. Kocher will be published this fall with the release of his flute duet collection “Noels of Old.” The collection consists of new works as well as arrangements of older, lesser-known Christmas carols. To be published by ALRY Publications, Inc. of Seattle, the world’s largest publishers of flute music previously published Kocher’s original “Winter’s Journey,” which has appeared in nine different YouTube videos, including recordings from Montreal and Spain as well as various performances from the U.S. His “Aire” for flute ensemble was recorded and posted by the Roeselare Flute Choir from Belgium. A Ripley resident, Kocher also has performed a number of concerts throughout England under his performance name “Michael Crowtower (www.crowtower.com) and will perform a concert of his piano works at the Hall of Philosophy in Chautauqua Institution at 4 p.m. July 31.
