The Westfield antique scene is entering a new chapter, as Jim and Laurie Wroda, new owners of 58 E. Main Street in downtown Westfield, the former Saraf's Emporium, have opened a dual purpose antique center. The Westfield Village Antique Center will specialize in quality antiques including: art, primitives, glassware and china, jewelry and other fine collectibles. The Wrodas stated "We built this antique center to focus on the customer and to provide not only a great shopping experience, but a place they can find and purchase quality antiques." The antique center will house more than 70 dealers and also be home to the Chautauqua Lake Auction Center where Jim Wroda will run the New York branch of his auction company, Jim Wroda Auction Services.

The Westfield Barcelona Community Chamber will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Westfield Village Antique Center and the new location for Chautauqua Lake Auction Center at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28. Doors open at 8 a.m., auction begins at 10 with early bird auction at 9:15 a.m. The auction will feature 50 pieces of Chris Carpenter Cameo Glass, posters, toys, porcelains and more.
