Jim Phillips was closest to the pin on No. 5. He won a $10 certificate for Gametime Lounge at the Jamesown Bowling Company. Bill Anderson was closest to the pin on No. 9. He won double wings and a pitcher of beer at Good Time Saloon. Herb Hern, closest to the pin on No. 10, won a $10 Gametime Lounge certificate. Jud Foy, closest to the pin on No. 12, won $20 off Ellicottville Brewing Co. in Fredonia. Don Bengtson was closest to the pin on No. 15 and won double wings and a pitcher of beer at Good Time Saloon.

Local high school players compete in 3-Man tourney

FORESTVILLE (May 19) - The Division II Three-Man Golf tournament was held at the par 72 Tri-County Country Club.

Louis Markham, of Forestville/Pine Valley, took first place with a score of 85.

Frewsburg's Anthony Mole and Maple Grove's Dillan LaBarbera tied for second place, each shooting an 88. Brothers Anthony Miller and Titus Miller of Cassadaga Valley tied for third, each carding a 90.

Cassadaga Valley won with a 283. Forestville/Pine Valley was the second-place team at 287 and Maple Grove was third with a 289.

Putts for Mutts fundraiser set for June 4

Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue is currently finalizing golfer registration for their third annual Putts For Mutts Golf Tournament to be held the morning of June 4.

This 18 hole 2 person scramble is only $60 per person and includes a BBQ lunch afterward. There will be a number of prizes for the golfers as well as a long list of raffles that will be open to the public.
