Westfield's First Friday coming soon

Westfield's First Friday will be held on the 2nd Friday, July 8 to welcome the returning westfield alumni. Festivities start at 5 p.m. - street vendors, arts, crafts, local shopping, 50/50 raffle, wine tasting, music, food, fun, entertainment for all ages, special mini concert sponsored by the Westfield Recreation Department in the gazebo from 6 to 8 p.m. Also at 6 p.m., Alex Underwood feature at 7 p.m. Shawn Wilder sidewalk chalk drawing along main street at Moore Park. Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle coming to Amphitheater

Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle are coming to your area on July 15 at the Chautauqua Amphitheater. They are touring this summer in support of their recently released album Colvin & Earle.

The duo first met almost three decades ago when Colvin opened a solo acoustic performance by Earle. The show was so great that Earle immediately proposed that he and Colvin record an entire album together and thank goodness they did. Colvin & Earle captures the magic between two artists so in tune that they seem to read each other's minds.

Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church Fun Night

Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church invites you to our Fun Night, Saturday, July 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. Bring your favorite games. Yard games are a good choice for the season. Light refreshments are served. Fun Nights are held the first Saturday of each month. The church is located on Route 430 at Meadows Rd. in Dewittville.

Tour of Chautauqua Bike Ride

The 33rd annual Tour of Chautauqua Bike Ride will be held on Saturday, August 13, originating and finishing in front of the Eason Hall, 23 Elm St. Westfield. The mass start begins at 9 a.m. Water and refreshment stops, radio people and sag wagon services are provided. Helmets are required. Recreational tours of courses of 25, 40, 62, 75 and 100 miles are offered, with a light meal at the finish provided. First Baptist Church "Block Party" July 9

The First Baptist Church is hosting a "Block Party" on July 9; from 3:00 - 8:00pm. There will be free food, games, prizes, a bounce house, a dunk tank, and much more. The evening will conclude with a show from "In Jest" ..... a juggling and comedy show from 7:00 - 8:00pm. Th whole family is welcome to come and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of fun for Free!

WSCR golf tournament

Westfield Stray Cat Resue will be holding its Second Annual Cathouse Open on July 16 at Pinehurst Golf Course.

The cost is $40 per player and includes a nine-hole Scramble, cart and lunch.

Shotgun start at 9 a.m. with coffee and sweets available at the 8:15 sign-in.

Dewittville Auxiliary's annual Smorgasbords

Dewittville Auxiliary presents our annual Smorgasbords at the Dewittville Fire Hall, Route 430, 5459 East Lake Road, Dewittville. Thursday, July 7th from 4:30-7 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00pm. $9 adult 13+, $5 children ages 6-12, free for children 5 & under.
