Pinehurst Retiree Golf

Five under was the score to beat and earned first place for the team of Bill Christ, Steve Woleben and Bob (put the lights out) Richmond. Bill Cole, Vinny Paternosh, Pete Miller and George Tanner were second at four under par.

Third at three under par went to John Jones, Jim Higgenbothm, Dick Wade and Sam Arcadipane.

Fourth place after the tie breaker on number seven went to Keith Rothwell, Chris Kolpien and Jim Wise at three under. Two under was the score of the fifth place team consisting of Trenny Jordon, Rick Lawson, Gene Noble and Dennis Shively.

Sixth place at one under par was the team of Jim Quinn, Paul Sear, Todd (commissioner) Swanson, and Tom Sweatman.

Individual honors were won by Todd Swanson - closest to the pin on number 4, Jim Higgenbothm - closest to the pin on number 7 and Keith Rothwell closest to the 150 yard marker on number 9.

Traveling Retiree Golf

On Tuesday, June 21st, the retirees played at Crab Apple golf course near Erie, PA. Twenty-two golfers competed for prizes. The team of Jeff Wagner, Ted Winkleman, Todd Swanson, and John Jones taking top honors with a score of 199. Second place went to the team of Dennis Burke, Vinnie Paternosh, Bob Lewis, and Jack Wells with a score of 201. Third place with a score of 202 was the team of Gary Farley, Phil Young, Gary Nash, and Roy McKinnon.

Individual prizes were awarded as follows: closest to pin number 2 to Swanson and on number 15 to Burke. Low gross score was a 77 by Wagner and low net went to Swanson with a 56. Skins were won by Wagner, Bob Carrington, McKinnon, and Leroy Vahl with one each; and Burke with two skins.

Thanks to Phil Young and Todd Swanson for their help with this outing. The next outing will be Tuesday, July 5th at South Hills golf course in Busti, NY with tee time 9:30am.

Pinehurst ParTee Girls (June 21)

Low gross scores: Carolyn Rawlinson 42, Amy Swanson 47, Pat Thompson 48, Val Gelsimino 50, and Trudy Gollnitz 50. Low net scores: Rawlinson 29, Kim Tiberio 32, Gelsimino 33, Gollnitz 33, Lani Garrison 33, Julie Ortendahl 34, Thompson 35, Maribeth Pagano 35, MaryAnn Woleben 35, and Jill Muck 36. Longest drive on #6: Eileen LaPorte; shortest drive on #6: Muck. Lori Foster won the 50/50.
