Westfield native’s film selected for Buffalo International Film Festival

"The Kidnapping of a Fish" is an official selection of the Buffalo International Film Festival. The mixed genre film is written/Edited/Directed by Westfield Native Philip A. Ramos (son of Drs. Fidel and Lolita Ramos of Westfield).

It follows a mild-mannered man who is forced to consider if his girlfriend is the reason for his situation. It tests and explores the relationship of two people who feel they don't deserve love in this comedy/drama/suspense film.

"The Kidnapping of a Fish" is an official selection of 14 film festivals and has won awards for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography and Best Short.

It screens on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 at the Hallwells Arts Center at 341 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14202. Followed by the feature film "The Return."
