Lady Cougars top Lady Bulldogs in three

BROCTON (Oct. 12) - The Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars (11-3, 9-2) continued their winning ways Wednesday with a three-set victory over the Brocton/Westfield Lady Bulldogs (0-13) by scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-12.

Leading the way for Cassadaga Valley was Alyssa Hahn with 15 assists, three aces and one dig. Maranda Perez added 10 kills and two blocks while Jenna Caskey finished with five kills, eight aces and a block.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Elyse Markham recorded five assists and four aces and Lindsey Stahlman added three assists, a kill and an ace in the loss.

Brocton/Westfield takes Dunkirk to four sets

BROCTON (Oct. 17) - The Brocton/Westfield Lady Bulldogs (0-13) fell to Dunkirk (4-11, 3-10), 24-26, 25-8, 25-12, 25-19, Monday in CCAA North girls high school volleyball.

Jessica Beehler had 12 aces and a dig while Nicole Perez charted seven aces and 19 assists. Kiara Boyd finished with nine kills and a dig.

The Lady Bulldogs' top player was Rachel Mathews, who had eight kills, two aces and as many digs. Elyse Markham recorded five aces, one kill, two assists and two digs in a losing effort.

Brocton/Westfield falls to powerhouse North Collins in three sets

NORTH COLLINS (Oct. 15) - Deanne Wilson's 10 kills and nine digs led the undefeated North Collins Lady Eagles (14-0, 12-0) to a sweep of the winless Brocton/Westfield Lady Bulldogs (0-12), 25-7, 25-11, 25-14, Friday in CCAA North girls high school volleyball.

Angela Filkov added 15 assists and six digs while Morgan Mathis charted six kills and four digs in the win.

The Lady Bulldogs' top player was Jypsi Eidens, who had three kills and two blocks and as many digs.
