Chautauqua Adult Day prepares for Holiday Bazaar

November 2, 2016
Westfield Republican

Every year Chautauqua Adult Day has a Holiday Bazaar for participants that is hosted at our Taft Center location in Jamestown. All of our sites make items to sell at the bazaar, which is nice because it gives participants a variety of crafts to choose from. Participants are able to come to the Bazaar and purchase items for themselves or for others to give as gifts for birthdays, Christmas or just because. The items are sold at reasonable amounts, from 25 cents to $3 dollars. We at the Westfield Adult Day have been working hard on different crafts for the holiday bazaar. Arts and Crafts are just a couple of the many activities we offer our participants. Pictured above is Herbert Marker and Janis Cochran.

Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers, Inc. offers senior day programs for adults 60 years of age and older who live in community. The day programs enable seniors to have quality of life through socialization and activity programming. The sites provide breakfast, snack and a hot noon time meal for participants. There is also a Community Recreation Program that helps persons participate in outings in the community and the sites offer pet therapy, ceramics, music programs, arts and crafts and much more on an ongoing basis. In addition, the agency also has a "Saturday Program" in Jamestown which helps participants stay involved in community events and out-door recreation.

The Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers, Inc. is a not for profit United Way community partner, that provides an affordable option for older adults in the community to remain independent and at home
