Pearl Harbor Day remembrance ceremony

November 30, 2016
Westfield Republican

In memory of the 75th Anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Fire Department of Westfield and the Westfield Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Association are co-sponsoring a recognition event at the Westfield Fire Hall on Clinton Street on December 7th at 6:00 P.M.

The intent of the ceremony is to remember those who perished in the attack, and to recognize surviving WWII Veterans from the area and their families. The Fire Department Chaplain, Fr. Al Clody will be in attendance to provide appropriate honors.

The Fire Department of Westfield and the Westfield Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Association is extending invitations to this ceremony to our area elected officials, as well as members of the public. Members of the William P. Jackway VFW Post 6764 and the J.W. Rogers American Legion Post 327 have also been invited. There will be light refreshments served immediately following the ceremony.

Please join us on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00 P.M. at the Westfield Fire Hall as we honor "The Greatest Generation."

Any questions concerning the event can be directed to Alan Holbrook, President of the Westfield Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Association at 753-0829.
