Rotary International celebrates 105th birthday

The Westfield/Mayville Rotary Club will join in a worldwide observance of the founding of Rotary International this week, specifically Feb. 23, 1905.

Founded in Chicago, it is the world’s first and largest non-profit organization with more than 1.25 million members comprised of professional and business leaders in more than 33,000 clubs in 200 countries.

CLYMER - Though Lucy Zulick may be the face people see inside the Good Shepherd Mission Outreach in Clymer, she is adamant that she is not to receive any of the credit or the glory for what the ministry does.

‘’This is a God-ordained ministry. It’s not something that I did,’’ she said.

Former Westfield resident killed in Florida bus crash

A bus crash near Lake Placid, Fla. on Monday has claimed the life of Joan Horsch, a former resident of Westfield.

Mrs. Horsch’s husband, Dr. Robert Horsch, was injured in the wreck, along with Westfield residents Dr. Don Eno, a retired veterinarian; his wife, Marion Eno; Don Nash, a retired pharmacist and his wife, Judy Nash.
